It is with deep sorrow to say that Basil passed away and crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge on December 27th, 2022.
Basil came as a foster with his brother Casper to our pack which included a young Westie pup by the name of MacLeod. Basil took his job as being the oldest of the pack seriously and soon taught the young pup the social behaviors that were acceptable to the pack.

Basil had one ear folded over, so within the three Westies, he was the easiest to pick out. Basil loved to sleep in the sun, watch the birds and squirrels in the backyard, and cuddle with his rescue Mom at night, quite often awakening her in the middle of the night to snuggle under her arms.

Basil will be missed by his brothers Casper and MacLeod, and his rescue Mom Lorna. We all would like to thank  Dr. Dianne, his doctor for all her help at the Animal Care Center in Okotoks, and Westie Rescue of Canada for the opportunity of having the tightest pack on the block!
