About Us

Westie Rescue of Canada (WRC) is a national registered Canadian charity (83226 8700 RR0001). We are an independent, all-volunteer organization operating across Canada. Our rescues come from all walks of life, owner turn-in, shelters, veterinarian referrals.
We will take in any Westie, no matter its history. our rescues are cared for in private foster homes where they receive proper Veterinarian care and rehabilitation. WRC was founded in 1999 by a group of dedicated volunteers.
We would not be able to continue this important work without our network of volunteers, foster families, supporters and our adopters that have opened their hearts to a rescued Westie.
