WILSON rescued 2021 - Rainbow Bridge August 2025
![]() |
Often referred to as Eeyore, Chunk Master General, or more recently, Wawa (as named by our 2-year-old niece), Wilson came to us in April 2021 after a lifetime of neglect. He was 10 years old and loved to sleep. At first, he didn’t really know how to be a dog. But with time and lots of love, he slowly began to come out of his shell. He loved going to the cottage and exploring backyards whenever he had the chance. About six months after Wilson joined us, we rescued another Westie named Millie. Millie truly taught Wilson how to be a dog. They loved to snuggle each other, and she even taught him how to play.
Wilson was our first dog as a couple, and he brought us so much joy. His subtle side-eye and quirky personality were everything we could have hoped for in a first dog. We knew that by rescuing a senior we would need to cherish every moment we had with him. Though we only got to love him for four years, we are incredibly grateful those years were filled with nothing but love, joy, cuddles, and adventures.
We love you, Wilson, and we will never forget our first baby. Until we meet again.
